My expertise lies in prostate cancer support, specifically focusing on survivorship issues, post operative management of sexual function and other treatment related side effects. About Me..
I graduated as a Registered Comprehensive Nurse in 1991, have worked in NZ and Australia in nursing roles for over 30 years. I have extensive experience in surgical nursing, orthopaedics, oncology and urology. I spent over 10 years as Urology-oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist for Te Whatu Ora/Health New Zealand- Taranaki
Key Academic milestones:
- Post graduate diploma in Health Sciences from Auckland University (Oncology and long term conditions management).
- Post graduate certificate in Continence Management through Otago University.
- Sexual Health and cancer certificate from De Souza institute in Canada.

- Executive Committee member, New Zealand Urological Nurses Society (NZUNS) - held the education portfolio
- Movember Foundation Working group - improving access to sexual health information for people affected by Prostate cancer
Personal Life:
Outside of my clinical work, I'm a proud wife, mother of two adult children, and grandmother to three beautiful grandchildren. I'm also the devoted dog-mum of Luna, our very indulged German Shorthaired Pointer.
I'm an avid photographer, with a particular love for landscapes and pet photography.
